Resolutions Or Not

Did you have high hopes for 2020? We start every year with our list of resolutions. This year mine looked like this: 1) get in better shape and run a marathon and 2) go to one cooking class every month. I started out strong: registering for a December marathon on January 1stand signing up for a cookie decorating and pasta making class (for January and February). We all know what happened after that.

Rather than just forgetting the idea of resolutions for 2021, let’s reframe and simplify. Did you discover or rediscover something in 2020 that brought you unexpected joy? It could be doing an intentional mile every day (or think BIG and maybe get into running for a charity), baking your favorite things, committing to a family game night once a week. Make those little things your resolutions. Or don’t make a resolution at all. There’s no rule saying you have to keep to a list. In these times it’s important to remember we should be SURVIVING, not THRIVING.

We know the pandemic has had dramatic effects on everyone’s lives. Remote and hybrid learning is a weird, and often times stressful reality. You may have lost your job or, worse yet, a loved one. We’re not making light of a very serious, global situation. We want you to know that we are here for you, no matter what you or your family is going through. We are giving you the gentle reminder that we are here for the big things and not so big things. Always.
