Join us for an introduction to medical marijuana and the benefits for patients with autism. At the completion of this session, learners will be able to understand the medical marijuana PA program, gather resources of this program, and recognize potential benefits for autism.
Richard Greer: graduated from Duquesne University with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Dr. Greer serves as the Pharmacy Director for Solevo Wellness, a medical marijuana dispensary based in Pittsburgh, PA, where he is responsible for the smooth operation of the pharmacy department. Dr. Greer is an active member of the International Society of Cannabis Pharmacists (ISCPh) on the finance committee, a faculty member of the Pennsylvania Pain Society, a study leader at Carnegie Mellon University, and a member of Doctors for Cannabis Regulation. In addition to his director duties, Dr. Greer is a sought-after speaker and educator who has spoken at multiple universities, medical societies, hospitals, and healthcare organizations.
Erica Daniels: Erica is the mother of a child with severe autism who is determined to give her son and family the highest quality of life possible. After years of traveling the country seeing specialists, exasperating dozens of treatments for years with little or no success, Erica eventually discovered that natural treatments such as diet and medical cannabis dramatically improved the quality of life for her son and her entire family as a result. Erica is an internationally recognized medical cannabis activist, autism advocate, author, public speaker and devoted mother. She is compelled to help as many families as she can and continues to make waves in the autism community.
